BAYFA referees help keep matches fair, safe, and fun while building confidence, leadership, and a deep understanding of the game. Kids, teens, parents, coaches, and returning refs are all welcome. No experience needed. Training and support are provided.

4U: Center Referee – $15
5U/6U: Center Referee – $20
7U/8U: Center Referee – $25
9U/10U: Center Referee – $35 | Assistant Referee – $25
11U/12U: Center Referee – $45 | Assistant Referee – $30
13U/14U: Center Referee – $55 | Assistant Referee – $35
15U/16U: Center Referee – $65 | Assistant Referee – $40
17U/19U: Center Referee – $75 | Assistant Referee – $50
To officiate BAYFA matches, you must be at least 13 and hold a USSF Grassroots Referee license. The certification process has two parts:
Online Course
Enroll in the Grassroots Referee Online Lessons (21 modules).
Complete all modules (about 3½–4½ hours total).
In‑Person Clinic
After finishing the online portion, select and attend a 3½‑hour field session.
Learn assignment procedures, uniform details, and how to register for games.
Both parts are required before you can be assigned to BAYFA matches.
